Questions that were asked during my feedback
Why incorporate features from billboard and Q?
Will 35-40 year olds be interested in the magazine?
Resources and personnel?
Amendments
Based off the first question I was asked I created a mock up of a front cover and a double page spread what showed the fonts that i would use, colour themes, the headline, prices etc.
For the second question I have still decided to include the 35-40 year old secondary age group as in the magazine we will include older artists that where prominent during their time and because the older generation is more willing to actually buy physical magazines instead of go online.
For the third question we will use editorial, design, interview, research teams ect.
I also made changes to the powerpoint headings to make them more clear and make them make more sense, I also created a mock up of a actual front cover and double page spread (the first mock up which is not all the way developed and the finished mock up which is shown on the power point which would be an actual finished product)
Identify potential questions asked by the client
1.Why have you chosen to sell it every 3 weeks?
2.Why have you chosen that certain price?
3.Why have that specific secondary target audience?
4.Why have you chosen this genre?
5.Do you feel your colour scheme is effective?
6.How will you successfully market your magazine?
Answers to the potential questions
1.We have chosen to sell the magazine every 3 weeks, because it was a gap in the market that we wanted to fill, also because we wanted to make it suitable so that people could afford it by the time the magazine comes out every 3 weeks. Also so that we have enough time to gather new tour dates that we will release every time we release the magazine.
2.We chose this specific price, which is £3.50, because it was a affordable and perfect price for the magazine due to the amount of releases in a year. This is because the magazine is release ever 3 weeks, which in about 20 magazine a year, we will need to charge this amount to that we can afford to continue making the magazine and so that we make a profit.
3.We have chosen that specific secondary audience because we know that between the ages 30-40 people still listen to RnB, especially late 90s and early 00s, so we decided to include this so that when we feature artists from that time the people will be attracted to the magazine and will want to read the interviews.
4.We chose this genre as in North London there is a gap in the market and that is RnB. We wanted to fill that gap. Also because RnB is a popular genre and we know from research that the majority of North London listens to or has a favorite RnB artist.
5.The colour scheme we have chosen is effective, as it represents the vibe of RnB. It is also a colour scheme that easily complements each other, which then make the magazine more eye catching and more appealing to the eye, meaning that it will attract readers.
6.We will successfully market our magazine by advertising it using social media, and we will also use the featured artists to advertise the issues they are in, which will increase the amount of readers that the magazine has.
